คําอธิบายสินค้า

Kacise KAN601 Online Ammonia Nitrogen Sensor Patented Probe IP68 Protection Level Easy To Install: 3/4 NPT Thread

KAN601 Online Ammonia Nitrogen Sensor

Application Environment

KAN601 integrated online ammonia nitrogen sensor is fabricated using a PVC membrane-based ammonium ion-selective electrode for testing ammonium ion content in water with temperature compensation to ensure fast, simple, accurate, and economical testing. The technical parameters, maintenance, and communication protocols of the ammonia nitrogen sensor are described in detail in this user manual.

  • Signal output: RS-485 bus, Modbus/RTU protocol, convenient to connect to PLC, DCS, industrial control computer, general controller, paperless recording instrument or touch screen, and other third-party equipment.
  • In the patented ammonium ion probe, the internal reference solution oozes extremely slowly from the microporous salt bridge at a pressure of at least 100 KPa (1 Bar). Such a reference system is very stable and has a longer electrode life than conventional industrial electrodes.
  • Easy to install: 3/4 NPT thread (pipe thread) for easy submersible installation or installation in pipes and tanks.
  • IP68 protection level.

Tip: When ammonia becomes toxic

Ammonia is very toxic to the brain and new research shows why: the glial cell's ability to remove potassium is perturbed.

The picture shows individual glial cells deep in the brain of live mice, as well as a microelectrode used to measure electrical activity in nerve cells subjected to two-photon laser microscopy. Photo: Rangroo Thrane/Thrane, UiO.

Until now, we have had limited knowledge of the mechanisms underlying ammonia toxicity to the brain.

However, Professor Erlend Nagelhus’s team of researchers at the Institute for Basic Medical Sciences has been working with American scientists to uncover important information about the toxic effect of ammonia on the glial and nerve cells of the brain.

In healthy people, the liver will convert ammonia into urea, a substance that washes out with the urine.

People with impaired liver function will, however, be unable to rid their bodies of ammonia fast enough. The result is excessive concentrations of ammonia in the blood.

– This leads to ammonia toxicity, which may trigger seizures and coma, and which in the worst case may be fatal, say principal authors Vinita Rangroo Thrane and Alexander Thrane. This husband-and-wife team is the lead scientist behind the new findings.

Their findings were recently published in the prestigious medical journal Nature Medicine.
